A Study Comparing Low Carbohydrate and Low Fat Diets
Two groups of 100 followed either a low carbohydrate diet or a low fat diet for 12 months. After 12 months the participants in each group lost a similar amount of weight, but the low carbohydrate group had lower HDL-cholesterol levels as well as lower systolic blood pressure than the low fat group. So the low carb group experienced some health benefits along with weight loss.
It is Easy to Follow Low Carb Diet During the Week
You’ll be impressed with the look of your body in a low carb diet. I also like the way my body feels. Your energy will be through the roof, improving your productivity. This is the best diet plan for me throughout the week. Because you do not experience the intense desire to eat that you do on higher carbohydrate plans, this dieting style lends itself perfectly to the Eat Stop Eat dieting style.
Take It Easy On the Weekends
I like to go out a lot with my loved ones on Saturdays and Sundays. The challenge is that much of this time involves being around food that isn’t low carb. So I do eat higher carb on the weekend quite often. I attempt to eat more greens and lean meats but I cannot tell you that I am able to do this at every meal. Nachos and beer are some examples of prime weekend food that is high in carbs, but also high in flavor.
It’s Possible to Have a Low Carb and Low Fat Diet Simultaneously
Sometimes you need to get more body definition in a short amount of time so you must eat your necessary proteins and few extra calories. For 1-2 weeks (no longer than that) you can create a large calorie deficit by avoiding fat calories as well as carb calories. Chicken and greens are fantastic ways to stay low carb as well as low fat. I would classify this as a plan to get ready for a trip.
Most of the Time, It’s Okay to Eat A Lot of Meat
On an average day, it’s perfectly acceptable to load up on the protein while staying away from carbs, in order to get great meals that maintain your figure. It seems to be a good way to eat for me. I am pretty sensitive to carbs, and they cause me to get a bit tired during the day. Use fruit and veggies instead of rice, break or potatoes as a wonderful side to your meal that doesn’t add any carbs to your system. You can let go a bit on the weekend, but don’t take in too many carbs and fats at the same time, which will end up undermining your work.
In conclusion, I believe that in order to drop weight you must discover the best way to consume fewer calories. For me it is a combo of eating low carb during the week with two Eat Stop Eat style fasts, which allow me to eat more carbs and calories on the weekend.
